“I work full time at Lexington Co Op in Buffalo so when everything started to go down with the virus and panic shoppers overtook our small store we (the employees) all went from thankless customer service workers to suddenly being branded as "frontline heroes" quite literally overnight.I've never felt a sense of pride from this though because my job (nor my paycheck up until very recently) didn't change and it took a pandemic for people to appreciate what I do for them.And that's a bit messed up,isn't it?

Like everyone, I've been in a cycle of being drained,overwhelmed and saddened each day since this has all started but art and color have always made me incredibly resilient. 
As a drag artist it's been fascinating to watch other performers flock to the internet, often as their only means of survival. Suddenly the playing field has been somewhat levelled because you don't have to necessarily hustle for a gig like you would BC(Before Covid).Now you can prop your phone against a wall,hit the record button let the tips roll in. It's kind of proof that this drag can thrive anywhere and at any time now more than ever. Maybe when the world ends it'll only be cockroaches and drag that survive.Maybe even cockroaches in drag if we're lucky.” -Pillow Princess
